Bronze

Trophy & fetish. Sculptures in solid bronze. Created in Burkina Faso, Africa. The sculpture shows a graceful head wrapped apart of the lips. The masking of the bronze magnifies the fascination and reflects back to the one who’s watching, to his presence. Creating a bond between them.

Echoes to the academic marble veiled sculptures of the 18th and 19th centuries and the sacred African maskS.

Each piece of the series is unique. Using the ancient technique of the lost wax, developed in a refined and unusual way, gives an organic and uncertain aspect, where the accident is invited, between ancestral and contemporary.

The bronzes are the size of a human head and kept in natural gold color to render the alive impression.

These heads are raw beauty and come to life as you watch them, nearly as they contain a memory that is to be revealed.
