Clients such as Centre Pompidou, Paris Executive Business School, Ecole Nationale des Arts du Cirque, Miami Art Fairs amongst others, commissioned the development of transversal programs to better comprehend the complexity of their “body” and act to generate a new meaningful creation
Paris executive business school
Since 2015, I’m teaching ‘’Art & real estate, strategy of value’’ at Paris Executive Business School. The class live scans the dynamics when art is the DNA of space creation, with no judgement of right or wrong, but the mechanisms in action. In fine, it creates a new society. We had very different students personal works, from mapping Accra with art venues, to luxury development in Marseille, or imagining new future for Malaga. My expertise as an artist, architect, hospitality and understanding cities in making such as Miami combine here for the students in an holistic approach of their projects.
centre pompidou
I created and led two programs for the contemporary art institution : discovering architecture through movement and through slam poetry. The aim was to bring the visitors into a promenade in and around the iconic architecture, such as the exhibition rooms, the outside escalators, but also the underground drive ways or the busy Les Halles commercial forum and make them experience in their body in within the words the creation of space.
ecole national des arts du cirque
Originally invited as an art teacher, the class rapidly turned into a creative lab, where students were pushing the borders of their expression. The school that is one of the main academy of new circus worldwide asked me to make them coming out of their shelf. These young adults that often had a difficult past were put into a physical experience, everytime different, and then let improvise (each day in a specific theme or medium) from there and perform it in front of the group.
slam poetry
I led slam poetry workshops to teenagers in social and scholar difficulties in the suburbs of Paris during several seasons, some of them were violents or from parents not speaking French. While I was tolt they were good of nothing, I approached them saying “tell me what your body is living” and their words were incredibly precise and rhythmic. Maybe was it the first time an adult was genuinely listening to them. One session happened after two of their friends were killed by the police. With few words, the ball in their belly talked with such accuracy and music. Slamming.
